TRM-Elmore County playoff tickets on sale
Tickets for T.R. Miller's second-round home playoff game against Elmore County will be available at the school office during school hours until Friday at 2:30 p.m.
Tickets will also be available at the gate. Gates will open for the 7 p.m. contest at 5:30 p.m.
All tickets will cost $7. That price is set by the Alabama High School Athletic Association.
The AHSAA does not permit any reserved seating for playoff games. All season and complimentary ticket holders must purchase tickets for the game.
JDCC's Stafford makes Region Second Team
Jefferson Davis Community College Lady Warhawks middle hitter Jessica Stafford has been selected to the Region 22 Volleyball Second Team.
Stafford, a 5-8 sophomore from Milton, Fla, posted a team-high 49 blocks and added 98 kills.
Members of the First Team consisted of Rebecca Schooley of Wallace State-Hanceville, Sade Oates, Raven Wynn, Halie Booker and Erin Coffman of Northwest Shoals, Jessica Willingham, Paige Beasley and Marsha Mountain of Gadsden State, Ashley Hughes and Jessica Boler of Bevill State-Fayette and Kellie Sorrells of Faulkner State.
In addition to Stafford, other Second Team members include Jordan Kent of Northwest Shoals, Nikkie Jeffreys and Julie Phillips of Bevill State-Fayette, Emilie Nonnemacher and Renee Watson of Faulkner State, Brittiniee Sims of Central Alabama, Jordan Prescatore, Jessica Hazel and Anna Meinert of Wallace State-Hanceville, and Tasha Moore of Southern Union.
NMS reschedules game
W.S. Neal Middle School postponed this past Thursday's girls and boys basketball home games against Ernest Ward and rescheduled them for Dec. 11.
