BCA wins awards from chamber group

The Business Council of Alabama recently received four national awards from the Association of State Chamber Professionals for its achievements in membership.
Carol Gordy, CEO of Brewton-based Natural Decorations Inc., is vice president of the BCA.
The BCA received the President's Award for overall excellence in the Membership Division; awards for Highest Member Retention and Highest Market Share; and honorable mention in the category of Membership Dues Growth.
Awards are given in the areas of new member development, membership dues growth, retention, market share, non-dues income, and overall balance (dues income v. non-dues income).
State chambers attending represented Alabama, Alaska, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, Mississippi, Kansas, Kentucky, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, and Washington state.
The Business Council of Alabama is a nonprofit, nonpartisan association representing the interests and concerns of thousands of Alabama businesses and industries that together employ more than three-quarters of a million Alabamians.
