A pickup truck and log truck were involved in an accident Wednesday morning at Deer Street and St. Joseph Avenue in Brewton.
According to police reports, the driver of the Chevy C10 pickup truck, Sylvia Spears of Brewton, was turning right onto St. Joseph Avenue from Deer Street, while the driver of the log truck, James Willard of Frisco City, was also turning right onto St. Joseph.
Both drivers turned at the same time, police said, and Willard did not see the pickup truck at his right side as he was making the turn.
The log truck hit the pickup, dragging it about 25 feet, police said.
The Jaws of Life were needed to extract Spears from the pickup truck.
She was transported to D.W. McMillan Hospital, where she was treated for minor injuries and released.
Willard was not injured, police said.
