Mrs. Gurtha White Aycock, 95, of Old Castleberry Road, died Sunday, Dec. 10, 2006, in a local nursing facility after a brief illness. She was a native and life long resident of Escambia County, Ala. She was a member of Damascus Baptist Church and a homemaker.
She is survived by two sons, Rex (Marie) White of Crestview, Fla., and Jack (Joan) White of Brewton; two daughters, Bobby (J.J.) Rollins of Pensacola, Fla., and Pat (Roy) Williamson of Brewton; one sister, Velma King of Southport, Fla.; 12 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Dec. 12, at 10:30 a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Thomas White officiating. Burial followed at Damascus Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
