Mrs. Sarah Watson White, 83, died Friday, Dec. 8, 2006, at her Milton residence. She was a native of Jackson, La., and had lived in the Milton area since 1988, coming from Pensacola, Fla., and was a former resident of Brewton. She was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Milton. She was preceded in death by a brother, the Rev. Wilson Watson.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, John Harris White Sr. of Milton; three sons, Donald (Diane) White of Tempe, Ariz., John H. White Jr. of Goleta, Calif., and William &#8220Bill” White of Pensacola; two daughters, Clara (Skippy) White of Pollard, Dr. Carol (Bob) Howard of Pensacola, Fla.; a brother, Cushman (Joyce) Watson of Keller, Texas; a sister, Helen Chamlee of Tulsa, Okla.; 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 11, at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Craver's Funeral Home with the Rev. Brian Schmelzenbach and the Rev. Winston Jay officiating. Burial followed in Hillcrest Cemetery with Craver's Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Hugh White, Todd White, John Fountain, Sam Howard, Daniel White and Brandon White.
