BMS girls win pair; boys fall short twice

A fourth quarter lead may have slipped away from the Brewton Middle School Lady Tigers the first time they faced Escambia County, but not the second time.
Brewton avenged its only setback of the season in convincing fashion style Thursday when it downed the visiting Lady Eagles 27-15.
Adrian Gibbs tallied 11 points to lead Brewton (7-1), while Leah Brundidge added eight.
Brewton completed a season sweep of the Ernest Ward Lady Eagles with a 22-14 victory at the Florida school Tuesday.
Gibbs, Courtney Jones and Brundidge all had six points to pace Brewton.
The Brewton Tigers suffered their second loss of the year to Escambia County Thursday when they lost a 54-35 decision.
Kori Jackson led the Tigers (2-6) with 12 points, while Jaren Jackson added nine.
Ernest Ward earned a season split with the Tigers Tuesday when it posted a 34-22 win.
Kellyn Winn led Brewton with five points.
