Mr. John Wayne Knowles, 56, died Friday, Dec. 15, 2006, at his Pineview residence. He was a native of Monroeville and had been a resident of Escambia County for most of his life. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, having served with the U.S. Air Force. He worked for a number of years with CSX Railroad and he was a member of Pineview Pentecostal Holiness Church.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Knowles of Pineview; his mother, Doris Knowles of Flomaton; one son, Brandon Knowles of Pineview; four brothers, Edward Knowles and Edmond Knowles, both of Flomaton, Raybon Knowles of Byrneville, Fla., and Donald Knowles of Jackson; one sister, Jean Knowles of Flomaton, and one grandchild, Jordan Davis Knowles of East Brewton.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Craver's Funeral Home with the Rev. Homer Stewart officiating. Burial followed at Pineview Cemetery with Craver's Funeral Home directing.
