Pretty paper, ribbons and bows make Christmas packages pretty under the tree. However, after the day is done, those wrappings can create quite a mess.
Brewton area residents can count on BFI to take care of that problem for them.
Those who have usual garbage pickup service on Monday can expect BFI to make pickups on Tuesday, Dec. 26, officials said.
There will be no change in pickup service for those who normally have pickups on other days of the week. Officials did say that Tuesday subscribers may see a delay in their pickup time, but should be assured that service will be given as quickly as possible on Tuesday.
The same schedule will be in effect for the New Year's holiday as well, officials said.
BFI officials want customers to remember that only garbage placed inside the provided containers will be picked up on regular service days. Any excess of bags or bundles left beside the containers will not be picked up.
