Mrs. Margaret Strain Green, 61, died Saturday, Dec. 16, 2006, at her Live Oak residence. She was a native of Birmingham and grew up in Brewton, graduating from T.R. Miller High School. She was a graduate of the University of Alabama and was a school teacher for a short time in Atlanta, Ga. She moved to Live Oak in 1991 and was a member of the Altrusa Club of Live Oak. She was active in the Chamber of Commerce and was an active member of St. Luke Episcopal Church in Live Oak.
She is survived by her father, Ben Kelly Strain of Brewton; her husband of 23 years, William E. Green of Live Oak; a son, Andrew Robinson of Nashville, Tenn.; a brother, William Strain of Scottsboro; a sister, Patty Ringland of Birmingham, and one grandson.
Graveside funeral services were held Thursday, Dec. 21, at 2 p.m. at Union Cemetery with Father Gary Baldwin officiating and Craver's Funeral Home directing.
