Mrs. Helon Shell McDaniel, 84, of Escambia Avenue, died Monday, Dec. 25, 2006, in a local nursing facility after an extended illness. She was a native of Dixonville and a long time resident of Brewton. She was a member of Brewton First United Methodist Church and a retired LPN of Dr. Strandel and Dr. Adkisson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willis Aubrey McDaniel and a son, Ronald Aubrey McDaniel.
She is survived by a son, Charles (Kandace) McDaniel of Brewton; a daughter, Beverly Beal McDaniel of Panama City, Fla.; two brothers, Robert Shell and Doyle Shell, both of Milton, Fla.; three sisters, Pauline Wolfe and Ruby Henderson, both of Milton, and Jean Wallace of Niceville, Fla.; four grandchildren, Lauren Luczkow, Kate Watson, Brett Krieg and Beth McDaniel, and three great-grandchildren.
Private graveside services were held Wednesday, Dec. 27, at 11:30 a.m. at Union Cemetery in Brewton, with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
