Mr. James Clifton &#8220J.C.” Bell, 81, died Thursday, Dec. 28, 2006. He was a native and lifelong resident of Flomaton. He was retired from CSX Railroad after more than 40 years of service. He attended the Pleasant Home Holiness Church and was preceded in death by a son, Adone Bell, and a brother, Kenny Bell.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Dorothy Juanita Dunsford Bell of Flomaton; two sons, James Alvin (Linda) Bell of Wenthee, Wash., and William Arnold (Meta) Bell of Flomaton; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; three step grandchildren; a brother, William Kirby Bell of Flomaton, and a sister, Vernell Hobbs of Brewton.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Dec. 31, at 2 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Parkerson officiating. Burial followed at Hollywood Cemetery. Pallbearers were Tommy Steely, Jerry Brantley, Pat Bell, Darrell Fore, Ronald Carnley and Johnny Tharp.
