Bust nets arrest

The 21st Judicial Circuit Drug Task Force responded to complaints last week and arrested a man on charges of crack cocaine possession.
John Henry Green of Evergreen was arrested Jan. 4 when agents with the task force responded to complaints of illegal drug activity in the Springhill Community off Ridge Road in Brewton.
Keith Hutchins of the task force said agents were able to apprehend the suspect on Springhill Drive.
Green was then arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance - crack cocaine. He was transported to the Escambia County Detention Center, where he was held.
The 21st Judicial Circuit Drug Task Force is comprised of the Escambia County Sheriff's Department as well as police departments in Brewton, East Brewton, Atmore, Flomaton and Poarch; the Escambia County District Attorney's office and the Escambia County Commission.
The Force is receives half of its funding from a grand provided by the Bureau of Justice Affairs Division of the United States Department of Justice.
The grant is administered by the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs.
The remainder of funding provided to the Task Force is provided by the Escambia County Sheriff's Department, Brewton and Atmore Police Departments and the Escambia County District Attorney's office.
