As fundraising begins for renovations to Burnt Corn Creek Park, Brewton officials on Tuesday announced plans for refurbishing the city's other downtown park.
Tree and Beautification Board Chairman Joe Gordy told council members Tuesday that an anonymous donor is providing the funding for a landscape architect's plan for the City Park, including a new clock.
James Crowe of Mobile is working on the landscaping plans.
Gordy said the plans could include an eventual &#8220total renovation” of the city park.
Also Tuesday, the city council approved the Quality of Life Committee's use of Burnt Corn Creek Park as a site for the city's first Songwriters Festival, which will raise funds for renovating that park.
