Mrs. Jean Butts Harris Peevy, 73, died Friday, Jan. 5, 2007, at her Brewton residence. She was a native and lifelong resident of the Brewton area. She was a homemaker and was a member of Cedar Hill United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Durward Peevy of Brewton; two sons, Johnny Lee Harris of Brewton, and Rickey Lee Harris of Pensacola, Fla.; two daughters, Patsy H. Lato of Pensacola, and Pamela Harris of Picayune, Miss.; one brother, Elbert Wayne Butts of Brewton; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Monday, Jan. 8, at 1 p.m. at the chapel of Craver's Funeral Home with the Rev. Floyd Dyal and the Rev. George Weaver officiating. Burial followed at Bethel Cemetery with Craver's Funeral Home directing.
