Mrs. Sally Mae Ard Forrest, 88, of Pine Street, died Monday, Jan. 15, 2007, in a local nursing facility after an extended illness. She was a native of Alabama, and a former resident of Pensacola, Fla., before moving to Brweton in 2000. She was a retired waitress and hosstess. She was of the Baptist faith and was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Franklin Forrest and a brother, Woodrow Ard.
She is survived by two brothers, A.J. Ard of Brewton, and Alton Ard of Houston, Texas; two sisters, Louise Brazwell and Bessie M. Pearson, both of Brewton; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services will be held Wednesday, Jan. 17, at 10 a.m. at Glory Hill Cemetery with The Rev. Earl Burch officiating and Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
