Tigers crack rankings
for first time this year
The T.R. Miller Tigers basketball team made its first appearance in the Class 4A state polls for this season, as they checked in at No. 8 week.
It is the first time T.R. Miller (12-3) has been ranked in two years.
The Tigers climbed into the rankings on the strength of their 45-32 win over previous Class 4A No. 1 Andalusia Tuesday. Andalusia (12-5) tumbled all the way to No. 9 after the loss to the Tigers.
The complete top 10 rankings are as follows.

2. Madison County (15-2)
3. Douglas (20-4)
4. Alexandria (11-2)
5. Central-Florence (15-4)
6. Fairview (18-4)

WSN football awards
to be held Feb. 10
The W.S. Neal High School football awards night has been set for Feb. 10 at 6 p.m. at the national guard armory.
TRM QB Club to meet Monday at Fieldhouse
The T.R. Miller Quarterback Club has set its next meeting for Monday at 6 p.m. at the Fieldhouse.
Friday's WSN game is at Hillcrest-Evergreen
W.S. Neal's boys and girls basketball games against Hillcrest for this Friday are at Evergreen.
Original schedules had this past Tuesday's games between the schools to be played at Hillcrest and the second encounter to be played at East Brewton.
Play starts at 5 p.m. with the junior varsity game.
