Mrs. Frances B. Hunt, 69, died Thursday, Jan. 25, 2007, at a Santa Rosa County hospital. She was a native of Athens, Ga., and a resident of Jay for the past 34 years. She was a member of the Pensacola Laryngeotomy Association and attended the Lottie Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Kimberly Dianne Hunt.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Dale Hunt of Jay; three sons, Kenneth Dale Hunt of Jay, Wallace Ray Hunt of New York, Fla., and Kevin Dwayne Hunt of Chumuckla, Fla.; two brothers, James Barbas Jr. of Old Town, Fla., and Chip Barbas of Flomaton; a sister, Barbara McArthur of Montgomery, and five grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 30, at 10 a.m. at the Lottie Baptist Church with the Rev. Chris Pruitt and the Rev. Chip Barbas officiating and Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Roger McDuffey, Glenn Hadley, Dale Robinson, Kenneth Dale Hunt, Wallace Ray Hunt, Kevin Dwayne Hunt, Houston Gill and Chip Barbas. Honorary pallbearer was Don “Cowboy” Roberts.
