State sets spring postseason schedules

The Alabama High School Athletic Association has announced its upcoming spring sports postseason tournament information.
Track: Both T.R. Miller and W.S. Neal will compete in the Class 4A boys and girls sectional at McGill-Toolen High School Apr. 27.
Other schools in that sectional field include Alabama Christian, Andalusia, Brewbaker Tech, Daleville, Escambia County, Hillcrest-Evergreen, Jackson, Monroe County, St. James and Trinity Presbyterian.
The state meet for classes 4A, 5A and 6A will be May 4-5 at Gulf Shores City Track. The state meets for classes 1A, 2A and 3A will be at Troy University those same two days. Last year all six classes competed at the same time at Oak Mountain High School.
Tennis: The Class 4A Girls Sectional Tournament will be held Apr. 24 at L.B. Wallace College at Andalusia. T.R. Miller and W.S. Neal will be joined by Opp, Jackson and Andalusia.
The Class 4A Boys Sectional Tournament will also be held at L.B. Wallace College and will take place Apr. 26. The boys team entries are the same as the girls.
The state tournament will be May 2-4 at Lagoon Park in Montgomery.
Golf: The Class 4A Section Meet will be Apr. 30 at the Andalusia Country Club.
Participating teams include W.S. Neal, which is planning to restart its program this spring, Ashford, Brewbaker Tech, Daleville, Holtville, Monroe County, St. James, Thomasville and Trinity Presbyterian. T.R. Miller is not fielding a team this spring.
The state meet will be on the Links Course at Opelika Grand National Course May 14-15.
Baseball: T.R. Miller and W.S. Neal are competing in Class 4A Area 2. The top two teams will advance to the first round of the state playoffs, which begin Apr. 24. The second round will be Apr. 27-28 followed by the quarterfinals May 4-5 and the semifinals May 11-12. The state finals will be held May 17-18 at Paterson Park in Montgomery.
Area 2 is paired up against Area 4 for the first round of the playoffs. Area 4 contains Brewbaker Tech, Bullock County, Elmore County and St. James.
Softball: T.R. Miller and W.S. Neal are in Class 4A Area 2 along with Andalusia. The Area Tournament will be May 4 at Andalusia.
Area 2 is paired up against Area 1 for the first round of sub-state competition. Area 1 contains Thomasville, Monroe County, Escambia County and Jackson. The first round of
sub-state is May 8, while the second round of sub-state
play is May 12. The Class 4A state tournament will be May 17-18 at Montgomery's Lagoon Park.
