Mr. Carl Thomas Tedder, 88, of Century, died Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2007, at a Jay hospital. He was a native of Pensacola, Fla., but had been a resident of the Century community for most of his lifetime. He was a self-employed carpenter, was of the Holiness faith and attended the Gospel Light Temple in Century.
He is survived by his sons, Elery (Kathy) Tedder of Century, and Robert (Eva) Tedder of Atmore; a daughter, Elsie (Jay) Goshert of Century; two brothers, O'Neil Tedder of Atmore and Mancel Tedder of Century; a sister, Mandy Green of Macon, Ga.; seven grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 3, at 2 p.m. at Flomaton Funeral Home with the Rev. Wallace Reid officiating. Burial followed at Byrneville United Methodist Church Cemetery with Flomaton Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Joe Lowery, Norman Tedder, Chris Gosbert, James Anderson, Ricky Tedder and James Tedder. Honorary pallbearers were Johnathon Watson and Rick Tedder.
