Riley reveals proposed accountablility agenda

Gov. Bob Riley outlined his accountability agenda for the upcoming legislative session, which focuses on reforms to ban PAC-to-PAC transfers, prohibit pass-through pork and require public disclosure of lobbyist spending.
During a speech to the Public Affairs Research Council of Alabama Thursday, Riley said he has submitted all these proposals to the Legislature in years past. But he said he believes increased public pressure and campaign promises from both Republicans and Democrats to enact them give the reforms the best chance they've ever had to become law.
Among the reforms Riley has proposed in the past and will introduce again when the Legislature begins its session next month are:
