Mrs. Ruth W. Crutchfield, 90, died Monday, Jan. 29, 2007, in a Brewton nursing facility. She was a native and life long resident of the Brewton area. She worked for a number of years with the Conecuh County School System as a lunchroom Wallace High School and Repton High School. She was a member of the Uriah Eastern Star and Range Baptist Church.
She is survived by a son, Cecil Bryant Crutchfield of Brewton; a daughter, Marbel Bland of Barnetts Crossroads; six grandchildren, Iris Jordan, Steve Crutchfield, Myra Tatano, Connie Baggett, Lorna Bland and Angel Fountain; and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Jan. 31, at 11 a.m. at Canaan Freewill Baptist Church with the Rev. Clyde Bruley officiating. Burial followed at the church cemetery with Craver's Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Cary Silcox, Jeff Fountain, Greg Baggett, Jerry Bell, James Bell, Stevie Crutchfield and Randy Tatano. The honorary pallbearer was Randy Jordan.
