Mrs. Rosa Kendall Horton Holley, 95, died Sunday, Feb. 4, 2007, in an Evergreen nursing facility. She was a native of Conecuh County and a resident of Evergreen. She had been a teacher with the Conecuh County Board of Education. She was on the Board of Directors for the Conecuh County Bank, a member of the Evergreen Study Club and the Evergreen Garden Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Morgan Holley; her sister, Lucenda Kendall Horton; and her brothers, E.B. Horton and W.K. Horton.
She is survived by her daughter, Carole (Alan) Pugh of Evergreen; a sister, Mary H. Mack of Evergreen; four grandchildren, Sandy Salo, Josh Pugh and Catherine Pugh, all of Evergreen, and Morgan Salo of Pensacola, Fla., and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Feb. 6, at 2:30 p.m. at the chapel of Cope Funeral Home. Burial followed at Magnolia Cemetery in Evergreen with Cope Funeral Home directing.
