Mr. James Roland Adkisson Jr., 54, died Saturday, Feb. 10, 2007, at his Brewton residence. He was a native of Elba and had been a resident of the Brewton area for the past six months, coming from Evergreen. He was a road maintenance coordinator for Schneider National Trucking Company. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Frances Adkisson.
He is survived by a son, Brett Adkisson of Brewton; his father, James Roland Adkisson Sr. of Brewton; two sisters, Cheryl (Tommy) Blackwell of East Brewton and Teresa Chapman of Mobile; a niece and a nephew.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Feb. 14, at 10 a.m. at the chapel of Craver's Funeral Home with Minister Guinette Lindsey officiating. Burial followed at Ridge Road, Baptist Church Cemetery with Craver's Funeral Home directing.
