Neal Middle School students attend science olympiad

A group of W.S. Neal Middle School students recently traveled to Booth Middle School in Peachtree, Ga., to compete in Science Olympiad.
Students competed in a variety of subjects including ecology, metric measures, crime busters and others. More than 15 other school forming 27 teams competed in the event.
W.S. Neal Middle School was represented by Dwight Burnham, Tabitha Collier, John Bailey, Thomas McCall, Austin Jordan, Klan Bedford, Logan Williamson, Sashay Johnson, Asia Sullivan, Cody Lemon, Chris Dailey, Tyler Guest, Lindsay Baker, Ashley Anthony, Megan Andrews, Ashley Hillman, Jordan Madden, Connor Batson, Lauren Parker, Brewer Grimes, Stephen Mesker, Nikki DeRidder, Jenna Carter, Dylan Wilson, Dalton Evans, Devin Burch, Tyler Sawyer, Megan Cooper, Reid Johnson and Jade Danley.
In the Don't Bug Me competition, the team of Cody Laymon and Chris Dailey finished with tenth place honors. Also placing tenth in competition was Tyler Guest and John Bailey, who competed in the ecology division. Taking ninth place in the Awesome Aquifer competition was Ashley Hillman and Lauren Parker. Eighth place wins were taken by Cody Laymon and Tyler Guest in the Metric Mastery competition with Lindsay Baker and Asia Sullivan placing seventh in the Science Crime Busters division. Also taking seventh place honors was Austin Jordan and Megan Andrews in the Tower Building competition while Kelan Bodiford and Logan Williamson placed sixth in the Wheeled Vehicle competition. Elizabeth Benjamin and Lauren Parker finished in sixth place in the Tower Building competition with Ashley Hillman and Jade Danley finishing fourth in the Write It - Do It competition portion of the event.
The student body at W.S. Neal Middle School are made up of fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth grade children.
