Junior Miss announces Escambia program

The Alabama Junior Miss Program is pleased to announce that a local program will be held in Escambia County for girls graduating in 2008.
Junior Miss is the largest nationwide scholarship program of its kind. The mission of Junior Miss is to provide scholarship opportunities to outstanding, college-bound high school girls, and to encourage personal development in all young people through its Be Your Best Self outreach program.
The Escambia County Junior Miss program will be held this summer. The winner of the Escambia County program will compete for approximately $50,000 in cash tuition scholarships and $1.5 million in college granted scholarships at the Alabama Junior Miss program, January 2008 in Montgomery. The winner of the Alabama program will go to Mobile, AL in June of 2008 to compete for the national title and over $100,000 in cash tuition scholarships.
National sponsors of America's Junior Miss include Tyson Foods, Inc., SeaWorld, Busch Gardens, the City of Mobile, and Mobile County. National category sponsors include the America's Junior Miss Council, Mobile Gas and Regions Bank. The 50th annual America's Junior Miss National Finals will be held in Mobile, Alabama, on June 30, 2007
