Mr. Stephen Dewayne Stanford, 59, died Saturday, March 3, 2007, at a Pensacola hospital after a brief illness. He was a native and lifelong resident of Conecuh County. He was in the auto parts business for 35 years. In that time he owned and operated Monroe Autowise and was a partner of B&W Auto Parts. He was preceded in death by a brother, Danny Stanford.
He is survived by three sons, Scott (Yomeida) Stanford of Castleberry, Trent (Jenny) Stanford of Evergreen, and Jeremy (Flannery) Stanford of Brewton; two brothers, Jim (Louise) Stanford and Nathan (Kelly) Stanford of Brewton; two sisters, Carolyn (Don) Henley of Bradley and Marsha (Fred) Coleman of Castleberry, and five grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, March 5, at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Brother Russ McDonald officiating. Burial followed at Glory Hill Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
