Mrs. Dorothy Mae Willis, 78, died Sunday, March 11, 2007, in Jay, Fla. She was a native of Daphne, a former resident of Bay Minette, and a resident of Century since 1994, and attended the Baptist church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Houston Nowling; a son, Billy Nowling; and a daughter, Patsy Nowling Morris.
She is survived by her husband, Cecil Jeen Willis of Century; her daughter, Mary Stewart of Perdido; her stepson, John Willis of Pensacola, Fla.; two brothers, Turner Brooks of Atmore, and Jimmy Brooks of Perdido; her sister, Estelle McDonald of Bay Minette; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 13, at 10 a.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Sister Helen Stewart officiating. Burial followed at Milton Cemetery with Petty-Eastside Chapel directing. Pallbearers were her grandsons, Aaron Willis, David Willis, Brian Favorite, Steven Favorite, Ethan Kimmons and Timothy Moore.
