Mr. James Guy &#8220Jeff” Morris, 82, died Wednesday, March 21, 2007, in a Pensacola hospital. He was a native and life long resident of Escambia County. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and the Korean conflict, earning two purple hearts and one bronze star. He was a member of North Brewton Baptist Church and was a Mason.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Morris of Brewton; three daughters, Paula Megginson, Linda Langham and Sandra (Hal) Clements, all of Brewton; two sisters, Vera Alford and Jeannie Normand, both of Brewton; two sisters-in-law, Edna Morris of Mobile and Kathy Morris of Brewton; four grandchildren, Keith Megginson, Candy (Jeff) Williams, Bart Langham, and Cade Langham; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday, March 23, at 11 a.m. at North Brewton Baptist Church with the Rev. Michael King officiating. Burial followed at Union Cemetery with Craver's Funeral Home directing.
