Mr. Marvin Stanley Morris, 56, of Lee, Fla., died Tuesday, March 20, 2007, in Gretna, La., after a brief illness. He was a native and former resident of Brewton and a long time resident of Lee. He was an electrical engineer and a U.S. Navy veteran serving in Vietnam. He was of the Community of Christ faith.
He is survived by his parents, Marvin and Hazel Morris of Brewton; his wife, Sharon Ramsay of McBain, Mich., and Daniel Corey Morris of Brevard, N.C.; two daughters, Gina Louise (Charles) Welch of Bay Minette, and Angela Nicole Grantham of Axis; a brother, Donald Elburn Morris of Port Sulphur, La.; four grandchildren, Jacob Austin Welch, Cory Dwayne Grantham, Colton Richard Turner and Avery James Morris; and a special friend, Tina Steele of Lee.
Funeral services were held Friday, March 23, at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Elder Wayne Morris officiating. Burial followed at Green Acres Memorial Gardens with Williams Memorial Chapel directing.
