Mrs. Michelle Young Merchant, 46, died Thursday, March 22, 2007, at her residence after an extended illness. . She was a native of Walton, N.Y., and had been a resident of the Century and Bluff Springs areas for 20 years, coming from Milton, Fla. She was a manager of Church's Chicken for years. She was of the Catholic faith and was preceded in death by her father, Harold Young.
She is survived by her mother, Donna Yarter Aeppli of Bluff Springs; her husband, Larry Wayne Merchant of Bluff Springs; two daughters, Ame Lee (Gary) Roley and Cindi Lynn Merchant (Johnny Mathis), both of Bluff Springs; two brothers, James Young of Walton, N.Y., and Steven Young of Gransbury, Mich.; three sisters, Lorri Williams and Kayla Constable, both of Walton, and Rosalie Flanigan of Raleigh, N.C.; grandchildren, Brianna Roley, Brittanie Roley and Bailie Merchant; and numerous other relatives.
Graveside funeral services were held Friday, March 23, at 3 p.m. at Flomaton Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Barrow officiating. Burial followed at Crary Memorial Cemetery at Bluff Springs, with Flomaton Funeral Home directing.
