Reid State to hold first career, job fair

Reid State Technical College will host a Career Fair and Job Fair on Tuesday, April 3, from 9 a.m. to noon.
All Reid State departments will host demonstrations of the employment skills gained in the respective area.
Employers will be on campus to discuss the skills required for employment and recruit employees.
High school students, area citizens and potential employees are invited to tour the campus, discuss career opportunities with the various departments, salary rates of Reid State graduates, and employment opportunities with the employers.
Visitors will be able to complete admission, financial aid and scholarship applications.
Employers will provide information on their prospective business and employment opportunities.
Reid State Technical College is located in Evergreen just off I-65 North. The school offers certificate and degree programs in welding, nursing, cosmetology, carpentry, auto body repair, masonry, industrial electronics, commercual vehicle operation, computer information sciences and secretary science/administrative assistance.
Reid State has a variety of financial aid programs including federal grants, local and state grants, and institutional grants.
The school typically has an enrollment of 620 with up to 70 percent of those enrolled being female. Approximatley 50 percent of those enrolled are full-time students. There are no on-campus residential facilities.
