The Cardinals and Tigers have taken the early lead in the two Brewton Little League age divisions.
The Cardinals ran their league record to 2-0 in age 9-10 play Thursday when they downed the Royals 20-6. The Tigers won the only league game in age 11-12 play Thursday when they beat the Rangers 7-3.
Age 9-10
Cardinals 20, Royals 6
CARDINALS: Treylan Watson scored two runs. Jones Manning had a single, a triple and scored three runs. Hunter Harp had a singe, a double and scored three runs. Lowell Swain and Yancey Jernigan both scored three runs. Patrick Ard and Will Smith both scored two runs. Jake Najor had a double and scored a run. Noah Morris scored a run.
Braves 10, Mariners 3
BRAVES: Keaton Parker had a single, two doubles and scored two runs. Andrew Brown had two singles and scored a run. Larry Cheatham had a single, a double and scored two runs. Lucas Agerton had three singles, a double and scored a run. Duncan Brittian and Steven Godwin both scored a run. Andrew Pollitte scored two runs.
MARINERS: Walker Harris had a single and scored two runs. Kellyn Winn had a homer. Christian Mancil had a single.
