The arrest of a Brewton man has increased the number of men arrested recently on rape charges involving a minor female.
Craig Eugene Strothers, 25 of Sowell Road in Brewton, was picked up at a Montgomery bus station on March 28 on a warrant issued by the Brewton Police Department.
Suarez said the victim told officials the acts of abuse had being going on for the past two or three years.
Suarez said the victim's mother came to Brewton Police and said Strothers had informed her that he was getting on a bus to return to Atlanta.
Strothers was returned to Brewton where he was taken to the Escambia County Detention Center and is being held on $100,000 bond.
