Mrs. Elsie Elliott Nelson, 84, of Mayo Street, died Friday, April 6, 2007, in a Baldwin County nursing facility after an extended illness. She was a native of Bradley and a long-time resident of East Brewton. She was a member of Bradley Assembly of God Church and a retired nurse.
She is survived by a son, Terry (Barbara) Nelson of Daphne; a daughter, Syble (Jerry) Gatewood of Brewton; a sister, Mary Sherrod of Millbrooke; five grandchildren, Jennifer Brewer, Shea Cain, Michelle Nelson, Corey Nelson and Trista Nelson; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held Monday, April 9, at 2 p.m. at Bradley Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Thomas Earl Elliott officiating. Burial followed at Bradley Church Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
