It took until their last match of the regular season, but the T.R. Miller Lady Tigers tennis team broke into the win column for the first time Thursday when they defeated Jackson 4-2 as part of a tri-match played at L.B. Wallace College at Andalusia. Only singles matches were played.
Meanwhile the Tigers (4-3) swept two abbreviated matches. T.R. Miller beat Jackson 4-2 in a match where only singles were played. The Tigers then won out of two out of three doubles matches against Andalusia.
Both teams will return to Andalusia next week for sectional action. The Lady Tigers (1-5) open postseason play April 24, while the boys' sectional is April 26.
