Volunteers fanned out across Brewton on Saturday morning to pick up trash in honor of Earth Day.
The Earth Day Extravaganza was organized by the Brewton Youth Leadership class made up of high school juniors from W.S. Neal and T.R. Miller.
The group not only organized a trash pickup on Sowell Road, Lovelace Lane, Old Castleberry Road and Appleton Road, they also set up an &#8220information station” about the origins of Earth Day and various energy-saving methods.
Parker said he was pleased with the turnout for the event.
