Mr. William &#8220Bill” H. Jackson, 95, died Wednesday, April 11, 2007 in Pensacola at the residence of his daughter. He was a native of Boykin and a resident of Escambia County, Ala. He was a member of Greater Mt. Calvary Baptist Church where he had served on the Usher board. He was preceded in death by his wife, Linnie Mae Jackson; two children; two brothers, John D. Jackson and Willie D. Jackson; and four sisters, Minnie Mae Culliver, Virginia Culliver, Maggie Jackson and Jane Jackson.
He is survived by a daughter, Shirley J. (James) Frear of Pensacola; three sons, William Jackson Jr. of Plainfield, N.J., Donald Walters (Margaret) Jackson of Ronkonkoma, N.J., and James Edward (Marie) Jackson of Toms River, N.J.; two brothers, Henry M. (Amanda) Jackson of Mobile and James Jackson of Brewton; one sister, Mary Sue Culliver of Brewton; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends, including friends, Mr. and Mrs. Archie Bradley.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 18, at 1 p.m. at Greater Mt. Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Johnnie Atkins officiating. Burial followed at Boykin Cemetery with Presley-Fluker Funeral Home directing.
