Mr. Willie James Benjamin, 60, died Thursday, April 12, 2007. &#8220Big Ben” was a native of the Johnsonville community and a member of Sandy Grove Baptist Church. He was employed with T.R. Miller Mill for 34 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ned and Annie Benjamin; a sister, Edna, and his twin brother, Willie Lee.
He is survived by two brothers, Earnest Benjamin and Robert Benjamin; two sisters, Elizabeth Benjamin of Evergreen and Eula Mae (Al) Spieght of Rocky Mount, N.C. ; and many other friends and relatives.
Funeral services were held Friday, April 20, at 11 a.m. at Sandy Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Evergreen with the Rev. Duran Odoms officiating. Burial followed at the church cemetery with Presley-Fluker directing.
