Mr. Thomas William “Bill” Hagood, 86, died Monday, April 23, 2007, in a local hospital. He was a native and lifelong resident of the Brewton area. He was a veteran of World War II, having served with the U.S. Marines Corp. He was retired from Container Corporation and was a member of First Presbyterian Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Jane Hagood.
He is survived by two sons, Benjamin McMillan Hagood of Fairhope and Thomas William (Margy) Hagood Jr. of Nashville, Tenn.; one daughter, Lane Moss (John) Norton of Albany, Ga.; his twin sister, Lillian Hagood Douglas of Brewton; and three grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services were held Wednesday, April 25, at 2:30 p.m. at Union Cemetery with Dr. John Mathieu and High Priest Ray Langham officiating and Craver's Funeral Home directing. Donations may be made to First Presbyterian Church.
