Twins, Nats grabs early Babe Ruth lead

The Twins and Nationals emerged as the early frontrunners in the Brewton Babe Ruth League, as each posted a pair of impressive victories.
The Twins outscored their first two opponents by a combined 24-5 margin with an 11-2 victory over the Marlins and a 13-3 triumph over the Giants.
The Nationals have also had two strong outings and outscored their opponents by a 16-4 margin. The Nationals opened up with an 8-1 win over the Orioles and followed that up with an 8-3 victory over the Marlins.
Twins 11, Marlins 2
TWINS: Dylan Smith went the first four innings, allowed one hit and struck out four to get the win. Bradley Brown pitched three scoreless and hitless innings for a save. Lane Cross had a single and scored a run. Kameron Winn had two singles and scored a run. Conner Denton had a single and scored two runs. Smith had two singles and scored three runs. Bradley Brown had two singles and scored a run. Brian Sims had two singles. Jaren Jackson had a single and scored a run. Darrion Salter scored two runs.
MARLINS: Wil Riggs scored two runs. Bryant Jernigan had a single.
Giants 11, Devil Rays 6
GIANTS: Keith Bradley pitched five scoreless innings of relief, struck out nine and allowed three hits to get the win. Monterious Culliver had two doubles and scored four runs to get the win. Louis Miller had three singles and scored two runs. Keith Bradley and Derek Smith scored a run. Corey Rilling had a single and a triple. Cody Bradley had two singles and scored a run. Shane Jerkins scored two runs.
DEVIL RAYS: Dodson Hetherington had two singles. Cody Swain, Eli Tyree, Jon Ellis and Tyson Godwin scored a run. Ryland Dixon had a single and scored a run. Austin Redash had a single.
Nationals 8, Orioles 1
NATIONALS: Robert Knowles struck out eight and allowed six hits to get the win. Hayden Cooper scored two runs. Joseph Strength and Josh Palmer scored a run. Nick Moore had a single and scored a run. Blake Blackwell had two singles and scored a run.
ORIOLES: Logan Williamson had a single. Curtis Glaize had a single and scored a run. Paul Busby, Tyler Sawyer, Billie Strength and Christian Lodge had a single.

NATIONALS: Joseph Strength went the first six innings and allowed three runs and nine hits to go along with seven strikeouts to get the win. Robert Knowles had two doubles and scored a run. Nick Moore scored a run. Josh Palmer had a single and scored two runs. Devlin Crosby scored two runs. Hunter Franklin had three singles. Houston pace had two singles.
MARLINS: Wil Riggs had a single and scored a run. Stephen Warren had two singles and a double. Dylan Bell had a single and scored a run. Reid Johnson and Randy Davis had a single. Edward Hines and Spencer Waldrep had a single.

Gary McGraw and Jon Ellis scored a run. Cody Swain had a single, a homerun and scored three runs. Harrison Horton had a single and scored a run. Eli Tyree had two singles and scored two runs. Austin Redash scored a run.
ORIOLES: Collin Graves and Logan Williamson scored a run. Trent Robinson had a single and scored a run. Paul Busby, Billie Strength and Tyler Nelms had a single.
