It may have looked like an early season showdown for the top spot in the Brewton Babe Ruth League on paper, but that was not the case on the field.
The Twins continued to tear through opponents with a 10-0 victory over the Nationals Monday in a battle of the league's two final unbeaten teams.
Dylan Smith, Brian Sims and Conner Denton teamed up on a one-hit shutout for the Twins, who have outscored their opponents by a combined margin of 34-5 en route to a 3-0 start.
Josh Palmer's single for the Nationals, who fell to 3-1, broke up the combined no-hit bid.
In Monday's other action, the Marlins picked up their first win of the season with an 11-10 triumph over the Devil Rays.
