Dylan Smith threw three shutout innings for the win and added our hits to lead the Twins to a 15-0 win over the Devil Rays in Brewton Babe Ruth League baseball Thursday.
The league-leading Twins moved to 4-0 on the season and stayed a half-game ahead of the Nationals (4-1), who beat the Giants 9-2 in Tuesday's action. The Twins have steamrolled past their four opponents by a combined margin of 49-5.
In Tuesday's other game, the Marlins won their second straight contest after an 0-2
start and moved into third place with an 8-6 victory over the Orioles.
Twins 15, Devil Rays 0
TWINS: Dylan Smith went the first three innings and did not allow a run on one hit with three strikeouts to get the win. Smith also had four singles and scored a run. Lane Cross and Kameron Winn had two singles and scored two runs. Conner Denton had two singles, a double and scored three runs. Bradley Brown had a single and scored a run. Brian Sims scored two runs. Jaren Jackson had a triple and scored two runs. Michael Kast and Darrion Salter scored a run.
DEVIL RAYS: Jon Ellis had a single. Cody Swain had a double. Austin Redash had a triple.
Marlins 8, Orioles 6
MARLINS: Dylan Bell allowed five runs on nine hits with three strikeouts over five innings to get the win. Bell and Spencer Waldrep also scored a run. Wil Riggs had two singles, a triple and scored two runs. Stephen Warren had a single
and scored three runs. Edward Hines had a single. Randy Davis had a single. Parker Reiss had three singles and scored two runs.
ORIOLES: Trent Robinson, Billie Strength and Logan Williamson had a single and scored a run. Curtis Glaize had a single, a double and scored a run. Paul Busby had a double. Tyler Sawyer had a single. Justin Tompkins scored a run. Tyler Nelms had two singles and scored a run.

NATIONALS: Hayden Cooper had two singles and scored four runs. Joseph Strength had a single, a double and scored two runs. Robert Knowles had three singles and scored two runs. Nick Moore and Josh Palmer had a single. Houston Pace had a single and scored a run.
