Fight sparks injury

An alleged domestic dispute led to an unusual injury Wednesday morning after a man fell from the window of a moving car.
George Ricky Jackson, 39, of Fountain Avenue in East Brewton, was attempting to enter the vehicle of Dorothy Ann Davis of East Brewton when the incident occurred, police said. The incident occurred in the parking lot of Super Foods grocery store.
According to an East Brewton Police report, Jackson and Davis had previously dated.
Davis told officers she and Jackson had broken off their relationship but he would not leave her alone.
East Brewton Police Chief B.C. Cooper was talking with Davis when the incident occurred in the grocery store parking lot just after 8 a.m. on Wednesday.
According to the report, Davis and Cooper were having a conversation when Jackson and a friend, Jeppie Dees, made a turn into the parking lot. Jackson then jumped from the truck driven by Dees and tried to enter Davis' car through an open window.
Dees said he knew the couple had some problems and told Jackson to stay in the truck, the report said.
After the incident Davis told Cooper that she panicked and tried to leave the area when Jackson made his attempt to enter her car the report said. After Jackson fell from the vehicle Davis returned to the area.
D.W. McMillan Ambulance Service arrived on the scene and began to treat Jackson for his injuries.
He was transported to D.W. McMillan Hospital where he was further treated.
No other information on the condition of Jackson was made available.
Jackson was charged with stalking and harassment in connection with the incident, police said.
