Hazmat crews were on the way to Conecuh County Tuesday afternoon after a train derailment sparked an evacuation of homes and businesses within a half-mile of downtown Castleberry.
No one was injured, officials said, but a flammable chemical called phenol was likely leaking from one or more of the train cars.
CSX officials were also on their way to the scene.
