Mr. Murtis O'Neal Jones, 58, died Tuesday, May 15, 2007. He was a native of Moss Point Miss., and a former resident of Brewton before moving to Orange Lake. He was affiliated with The Brewton Church of God in Christ.
He is survived by his parents, Charlie and Margaret Jones of Brewton; five sisters, Sheila Kiser and Susan Jones, both of Brewton, Janice (Willie) Chatman of Anniston, Kimberly (Vernon) Harris of Atlanta, Ga., and Connie (Robert) Ridgeway of Andalusia; four brothers, Charlie &#8220Gene” Jones, his twin brother, Curtis (Mary) Jones of Brewton, Clarence (Annie) Jones of Burnt Corn and Kenneth Jones of Knoxville, Tenn.; and a number of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 23, at 11 a.m. at Second Saint Siloam Baptist Church with the Rev. Willie J. Blue officiating. Burial followed at Greater Piney Grove Cemetery with Presley-Fluker Funeral Home directing.
