WSN players have three-day week summer conditioning program
Three-day workweeks and a seven-on-seven competition are two of the main features of the W.S. Neal Blue Eagles' summer football workout schedule.
W.S. Neal players are scheduled to work out three days a week, Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. throughout June. The three-day workweek is one day less than last summer when the Blue Eagles worked out four days a week.
Summer workout sessions will usually consist of one hour in the weight room and the other hour will be spent on the field. Much of the early field work will be spent in preparation for seven-on-seven-competition. W.S. Neal is scheduled to compete in a seven-on-seven competition at Trinity Presbyterian June 19.
W.S. Neal did not take advantage of last year's Alabama High School Athletic Association's new rule that permits helmet usage during the summer.
