Mrs. Joann Hastings, 76, of Fleming Lane, died Friday, June 1, 2007, at her residence after an extended illness. She was a native of Wilton, Ala., and a life long resident of Brewton. She was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church and a homemaker.
She is survived by a daughter, Martha (George) Armstrong of Brewton; two sisters, Vivia Dean Howze and Paula Jean (Freddie) Comer, both of Calera, Ala.; and one grandchild, Nathan Boyd (Samantha) Armstrong of Brewton.
Funeral services were held Sunday, June 3, at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Home Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Harold McGraw officiating. Burial followed at Green Acres Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
