Those looking for something different for family entertainment will have their dreams come true as &#8220Movies Under the Stars” begins on June 15.
As part of the celebrations surrounding the 27th annual Alabama Blueberry Festival on June 16, the Kiwanis Club will be hosting the new event at the City Park on Belleville Avenue in downtown Brewton.
Crane said the group will erect a large screen near the gazebo area and will show a movie that is appropriate for the whole family.
Kiwanis Club members will have the traditional film fare of popcorn and soft drinks available in the park for those who come to enjoy the movie.
Kirkland said the movie is scheduled to get under way at 8 p.m.
This year's event may become a regular replacement for the annual street dance held in years past.
The 30-foot screen will be situated so that the screen will be facing Belleville Avenue, Kirkland said.
