Head coach position this year gives Griffin different role with All-Stars

This summer is not Chris Griffin's first experience with dealing with all-stars. However, it is Griffin's first experience as a head coach.
Griffin will be trying to guide the Brewton Little League Age 10-11 All-Stars to a third straight district championship. That tournament kicks off Saturday at the Brewton Area YMCA Park although Brewton's first game will not be until Sunday at 7 p.m.
Griffin has emphasized fundamentals during the early days of practice.
Griffin said his approach is a little different for the all-star season as compared to the regular season.
Griffin, who has 10 years of youth sports coaching experience, said his team has meshed together well.
Griffin said coaching youth sports is an enjoyable experience.
Griffin enjoys working with his assistant coaches, Doug Black, Carl Lodge and David Stokes.
