A one-vehicle accident Sunday killed a Castleberry man, state troopers reported Monday.
Thomas Earl Powell, 61, was driving his 1971 Chevrolet pick-up west on Conecuh County Road 6 at approximately 6:45 a.m. when his vehicle apparently left the highway and hit a tree, trooper reports said.
According to the Alabama Trooper Information Officer Cpl. Tracy Nelson, Powell was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
